I agree 100%. There are plenty of other Presidents names that could have been used as we all know the Washington as a base station. How about President, Regan, Nixon, Ford, Bush.

Ah yes, the President Nixon radio.......it automatically turns everything you say into a lie.......
Then we have the President Biden radio that turns everything into mumbling incoherent rambling.........
But mostly I'm waiting for them to come out with the MAGA branded President Trump radio. Red with orange knobs...It's sure to be a 'great' addition to their product line LOL!

I heard they (first shipments) were pulled back due to a problem with FM, but should be back on track soon.
I have one on my desk right now. Nice receive, It has a premium feel to it. I have not figured out the automatic relay yet. more updates to come.
Do the controls and buttons feel better than that of the 880/980.
Way better, Positive feedback on the tac switches and strong detents on the encoder. easier to find the squelch open window on am than the Lincoln II+ but open squelch on am is closed squelch on ssb so you have to adjust when you change modes.
The display is bright and still readable in direct sunlight ant all angles I have tried and in comparison larger and easier to read than the Lincoln II.
I would have liked to have seen more memory channels as you are limited to 6 with the 4 memory positions and and 2 emg slots.
Overall It Feels a lot nicer than the Stryker 955 and is a big improvement over the Lincoln II+ as far as user experience.
Service menu access is the same as the EU George II but the keys are labeled different.
Don't fiddle without proper test equipment so you can see how bad you distort the super clean factory tune. I don't have any good stuff here so I will have to wait until Monday.

Man you've really got me thinking about buying one of those. And I thought I was done with the presidents.
The fans make it look extra cool like the the old galaxy 93t. Looks super good in the mobile or on the base.
I thought of the 93T as well. The twin turbine it said on the faceplate, I never got to own one but heard them on the big road. The good o'l days.
Did you come up with those yourself or is that the kit from president?
