11 meter is very quiet?

Conditions have been mediocre at best here lately but still making some contacts despite the lack of conditions (when time permits)

Here's a contact from Sunday afternoon with the 2995dxcf in action. A big thanks to @UDX-483 , I borrowed your clip my friend. It's set to private so it can only be viewed through the link.

No problem. Glad to have anyone enjoy it. ✌✌

Mind blowing conditions lately....wish I had more time for radio!!
Had a mystery language blasting in this morning on 26.425, 435, 465 and some other freqs way down there on 26 MHz. Thought at first it was Russian but after some more listening and a little detective work on Google I discovered it was Polish. Turns out 26.425USB is a Polish domestic sideband calling channel!
Also heard some other Slavic language as well as Greek in the mix on 555 today.

Taiwan was heard here last night but I wasn't able to make the contact.............
I could hear forum member 178 on backscatter from down in NW Washington hollering for him too at the same time as me!

Kind of the same conditions going on here on and around 555 in the southern interior.

Update: __ I was on for about an hour and made 9 decent contacts. I started out on 37 but all the BS ran me up to channel 40 and it was nice and quiet. I'm hoping tomorrow is better.

Good evening all,
Planning on being on the air tomorrow beginning at around 1pm on 35 USB for the WWDX Sunday Net, I'll also be on 37 LSB here and there, hopefully Conditions will cooperate so I can make some good DX contacts and talk to some Forum members out there.

Well today was a okay day for Dxing I guess, I made 3 contacts from Texas on 37 LSB, however on the WWDX Sunday Net on 35 USB,I didn't hear any forum members out there on the air today, there was some foreign operators in the background and I made a contact (Romo Golf 606) out of Colorado, but that's really it for today,I'm still on 37 LSB right now,and will be listening for another hour or so, hopefully other forum members out there had better luck...............

I heard some good moments of DX but a buddy & I were changing the rear tire on my motorcycle today & de-iceing the driveway. Along with washing the road salt & filth off the vehicles. I did set up one of my Q6 Pros on the kitchen table hooked to a Tram 3500 in the window and was surprised when that started sounding off. The plan is to get my Grand Daughter to come over so my 2 Q6 Pros can talk to each other and we can switch so I can hear them both. She is interested in radio so maybe I'll get her hooked. LOL

Netherlands, England, Ireland, Scotland, France, Spain and Giovanni in northern Italy at S9+20. It was quite a morning! Then around 11:30am PST there was a solar flare and conditions went from amazing to dead within 10 minutes.....that was wild!
After about 20 minutes of static a few stations started coming back in again, but nothing like they were before the flare.
An interesting experience for sure!

Is this the first time being on air and experience a radio black-out? Pretty weird, isn't it? I have experienced a few of them and it almost feels like the end of the world as solid S9++ signals fade out completely leaving a dead band within just a few minutes.

No! I've experienced dozens of them over the years. This one was unusual in that it was especially fast and dramatic.
It was also odd in that signals started to come back after only 20 or 30 minutes. Other radio blackouts I've experienced signals went away and sometimes didn't come back for hours or even days afterwards!

I was on for an hour today, (3 to 4ish) and conditions were very strange. Lots of stations were coming in and out quick initially, then I would here only two or three stations and nothing else. I did have a qso with @Shadetree Mechanic . You were booming in for the first two minutes, then it was iffy. Thanks for the qso, my friend!!!
